Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a cognitive approach to therapy developed by Patricia A. Resick, Candice M. Monson, and Kathleen M. Chard to treat PTSD and related conditions.

Most of us experience some kind of trauma event at some time in our lives. With the right conditions we will recover from the stressful event and move on with life. However, many times and for various reasons, some of us get stuck and the trauma continues to impact our lives, sometimes for many years after it occurred.

Cognitive Processing Therapy has helped many of my clients to work through past traumas. One of the greatest moments in my work is to hear a client say, “This has changed my life.”

If you or someone you know would benefit from Cognitive Processing Therapy, please contact me today. I would be happy to speak with you about how I may be able to help.
